Recognizing Excellence in Radiation Therapy: Christine Pawlowski
November 12, 2021
National Radiologic Technology week is celebrated annually on the week of November 8th. The significance of the date is to commemorate the discovery of the x-ray by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen in November 1895. This continued celebration calls attention to the importance of recognizing the efforts of Radiation Technicians across the nation.
Every year RSA dedicates this week to highlight several Radiation Therapists who are today putting forth outstanding professionalism and align with RSA values of being Patient-Focused and Quality-Driven. Today we highlight Christine Pawlowski.
Christine is from North Augusta, South Carolina and moved to Bowling Green, KY with her fiancé in 2020. She has been a radiation technician for 4 years, and is one of the team members at South Central Kentucky Regional Cancer Center. Inspired by the team that helped her family during her sister’s cancer diagnoses as a teenager, Christine Pawlowski researched ways to be involved in cancer care and found that radiation therapy fit what she was looking for. She loves being able to help cancer patients on their daily journey and being a part of the support system that is crucial for a successful fight against cancer. Outside of work, Christine loves being outdoors, reading, and hanging out with her dogs and fiancé.
